The Cast Collection

The Cast Collection from Prismera Design is now available online!  My first peek of their fall collection was back in early April, and I’m so excited to finally be able to share this with you. Laura added a bit of edge to this season by drawing inspiration from withered autumn leaves; yet, it still retains the same earthy delicate feel that she’s known for. Check the entire collection out and let us know which piece is your favorite!

Downtown Glamorous

I’ve been obsessed with Loeffler Randall from the very start. (In fact, I have a pair of shoes from their first collection.) There’s just something about their combo of downtown edge with soft feminine glamour. Loeffler Randall launched a blog, e-commerce and exclusives on their site this week; I already have a wishlist of pieces. Love these photos from their fall photoshoot….

A Sartorialist Book

Love fashion? Then you probably know of photographer Scott Schuman and his famous blog, The Satorialist, where he shares his photographs of people and their style.  Now he’s extended the idea into the form of a book, which hits shelves today. Will you be picking up a copy? I may just have to stop by my local bookstore….

P.S. I just found out from Daniella of Dress, Design & Decor that WhoWhatWear.com also has a book that recently debuted. I might have to order that one, too!

Miss Ruby Sue

Bib necklaces are already a trend, but I predict that they’re going to be everywhere this fall. (I guarantee you’ll be seeing them in the September issues of your favorite magazines.)  Along those lines…don’t you just adore this stunning over-the-top version by designer Lori Ward of Miss Ruby Sue?  She incorporates lush fabrics and vintage jewels into her entire line, infusing them with luxury and color. Love!

Lucia Packaging

I’m a sucker for great packaging and think it makes all the difference when it comes to the marketability of a product.  These soaps by Lucia Organic are absolutely lovely – from the various prints on the packaging to the font chosen for the lettering.  Now, wouldn’t you pick these over not-so-prettily wrapped soaps of similar quality?

Splash of Orange

I was flipping through the September issue of House Beautiful and loved how designer Windsor Smith designed the master bath in her home (pg. 80). The console table is unexpected and while I normally shy away from orange, I really like the splash that’s used here. (Or could it just be the Hermès boxes?)

If you pick up an issue, there are also two quizzes, “What’s Your Color Personality?” (pg. 94) and “The Last Words” (pg. 152) – both of which are fun if you’re interested in discovering or expanding your color comfort zone.

Give a Hoot

We were so excited today to see Alexa Chung wear the Give a Hoot necklace by Emily Elizabeth Jewelry on her MTV show, It’s On With Alexa Chung! Check it out in the video as she interviews Jeremy Piven. (She also wore it yesterday while chatting with Karolina Kurvova.) The 14kt gold vermeil necklace of a tiny owl can be ordered here!
