All of us are looking forward to what’s coming up for holiday at Emily Elizabeth Jewelry. Designer Emily Kolins will be combining leather with her 18kt gold plated pieces for the very first time. Also, everyone has been going bananas over the headbands, so here’s a sneek peek. A few pieces are already available, but make sure to also check out their website on October 19 when the collection fully launches.
Aren’t these sandals by Sseko Designs so cute? Aside from the beautiful craftsmanship, the brand has an amazing story behind it. Liz Forkin founded the company in an effort to support education of young women in Uganda; during their nine month break before attending university, Sseko employs students to make sandals to generate an income for tuition. I love the story behind this company and even more, knowing that the orders from the sandals goes toward an empowering and educational cause.
Linda & Harriett have some brand new letterpressed cards in their shop! The print on the Chandelier note cards resembles regal crystal chandeliers in a fancy ballet theatre. Additionally, there are the delightful Green Apple note cards, which are a nod to the autumn season.
For this upcoming holiday season, designer Laura Su is offering eco-friendly stainless steel ornaments in three limited edition styles: Pine Cone, Acorn or Maple Seed. Accompanied by a chocolate brown ribbon, each ornament has a sweetly scalloped edge and can be personalized with engraving.
These ornaments are totally fabulous because you can write notes on them with permanent marker (and if you make a mistake, just wipe off with a damp towel), making them ideal for gift tags or bookmarks as well. They’re available for pre-order now as individual ornaments or as a set of three, and will ship out October 1!
Buying jewelry made from recycled metals is another wonderful way to be eco and still be fashionable. Prismera Design has many stunning options, of course; but if you are looking for fine jewelry options, Blanca Monros Gomez has some beautiful organic-looking pieces, many of which are made from recycled gold. Below are a few favorites….
Our current clients look fabulous in the press this month and below is a sampling. For additional updates, you can check our Facebook and Twitter – and if you’re interested in how we can help your company, please contact us!
We’re so excited to announce the representation of BAMBAKO, a stunning line of headbands by designer Abigail Ricarte. They’ve recently launched their Fall/Winter 09 collection online, for which Abigail wanted to create fun, strong, and ultra femme pieces. The result was bold statements pieces that played with different textures. View the full collection at www.bambako.com.
P.S. If you are in New York, Bambako is holding a trunk show at Henri Bendel, starting today through September 25. Please stop by, meet Abigail and see the collection in person!
I love these hand drawn chalkboard pieces by artist Spencer Starr of Chalk Chalk. They are utterly original, a bit quirky – and so charming for a children’s room.
Last week, the Gypsy Plume Earrings by Emily Elizabeth Jewelry were on one of our favorite shows, Entourage! They were worn by actress Jana Kramer, playing the character of Brooke. Check out the video below to see if you can catch a peek of them and head over to Emily Elizabeth Jewelry’s website to get a closer look.
Already wishing for holiday treats? Get a head start with the Allure Necklace from Prismera Design, part of the Figment Collection for Holiday. As seen in the October issue of People StyleWatch, this necklace is convertible – so you can wear it three ways. I love this piece for its versatility of transforming from a necklace into a bracelet. It’s available now for $70 at prismeradesign.com.
