Cards for Just Because

On October 19, Linda & Harriett will be giving away note cards in exchange for a promise to send the card to someone – just because. Designer Liz Libre chose this day chosen in honor of her mom, Linda, because she always showed kindness and made people feel special – just because. Read more about it on the Linda & Harriett blog.

Simply email lindaandharriett@gmail.com by Monday at noon EST with your name and snail mail address; in return, they’ll send you a note card and envelope. Liz will also be personally giving away cards at Blue Sky Bakery in Brooklyn, NY (53 5th Ave. between Bergen St. and St. Marks Pl.) on Monday from 10am to 1pm. We hope you’ll join us in honoring Liz’s mom by spreading a little “Just Because” love!

Wedded to Perfection

I have a weakness for wedding-related TV shows, but totally forgot about the debut of TLC’s new Wedded to Perfection until I was flipping through the channels last Friday.  The show features the New York-based event design company called Fête. I’ve been a fan of Jung Lee’s work for several years and am looking forward to all the amazingly chic events to been seen on the show. Last week’s episode had some really inspiring design ideas, and you can bet I’ll be watching tonight!

Crucial Photography

I found these gorgeous images via {this is glamorous} and was so surprised to learn that they were from the Crucial Trading Co., a floor covering company. It’s such an inspiration to see how this company made their line fashion forward with their choice in photography, while still drawing attention to their product. While they could have easily gone in many other directions, the one they chose definitely appeals to a certain demographic and immediately speaks to who they want their target customer to be. I always tell clients that great photography is crucial – and this is a nice example of how a company can use it to strengthen its brand.

Prismera On Entourage…Yet Again!

Did you catch the last couple episodes of Entourage? Prismera Design was spotted on the last two episodes yet again! Kate Mara (playing Kevin Connolly’s assistant) wore the Moment Necklace in the episode titled “Scared Straight,” while Jamie Lynn Sigler wore the Ash Leaf Ring in the season finale.
