I recently discovered the London-based company, Lush Designs. Their quirky lampshades are so fun and unexpected. I can’t wait to add a bit of color and interest to my living room with one of these designs.

Ten Minutes of Me Time

  • Posted by: Jamie on February 24, 2010 8:24 AM

Between juggling the busy schedules of two kids (ages 4 1/2 and 2), a career (which I love), taking care of all the things that go along with running a family household and, oh yes, let’s not forget my husband, there just never seems to be enough “guilt-free” time for myself.

Luckily, “me time” doesn’t have to take all day or even a few hours. Sometimes taking 10 minutes is all you need.

This morning, I treated myself to a SK-II Signs Eye Mask treatment. I simply applied and sat for ten minutes drinking my morning coffee. Perfect start to a fabulous day!

An Early Weekend

  • Posted by: Connie on February 19, 2010 5:45 AM

We are re-locating our office from Los Angeles to the SF Bay Area (specifically Berkeley) over the next few days, so we’re calling it an early weekend. In the meantime, we look forward to blogging about newly discovered finds, welcome suggestions and will see you back here next week!

P.S. This image is by photographer Craig Fonarow, who takes some amazing photos of San Francisco. We’re lucky enough to already own this one!

A Valentine’s To Remember

  • Posted by: Jamie on February 16, 2010 9:00 AM

Living up to “Valentine’s Day” expectations can certainly feel like a daunting task to many men, or at least that’s what my my husband says. I tend to revel in the little things…a quiet walk on the beach or enjoying an early morning latte.

Lush Design Studio "M" Memory Bangle

This year I received the sweetest keepsake from my husband (and the kids) from Lush Design Studio – a delicate bangle with each of my daughter’s names hand-stamped on either side. Love it and love him.

Here’s to a year filled with laughter and love.

Feeling Blue

  • Posted by: Connie on February 15, 2010 10:08 AM

As I was flipping through the March issue of House Beautiful, I got so inspired by their theme: blue. They showed how to decorate with the hue in so many ways – whether it was just one element or layers of the color.
