Moderne Press is a boutique public relations agency. On this blog, we'll share what's happening at our agency, what we're talking about and what we're currently obsessing over!
Over the past weekend, I picked up a couple jars from INNA jam, which is made locally here in Berkeley. Each jar is made with fresh organic seasonal ingredients and even cuter, are delivered via bicycle! Check out all the varieties via their website (I bought Raspberry and Blood Orange, though the Strawberry was quite delicious, too).
Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Katie Armour of The Neo-Traditionalist. This delightful blogger has an incredible eye and distinctive style, and her fabulous site has quickly become one of my daily reads over the past few months. If you haven’t already, check it out!
Ever since blogger Felicia Sullivan tweeted about (and then bought!) these gorgeous J.Crew Clara heels, I’ve been obsessing over them. So elegant and girly…
Pantone released their top 10 Pantone colors for fashion last week, and we are so excited about it. We love the sorbet-y palette – a mix of soft hues with brighter pops of color. Get details over at Pantone.com.

A few months ago, I watched the most interesting branding video by Simon Sinek. He talks about how great leaders inspire action and how the best ideas do not always equate to success within a company. He explains that today’s consumer makes purchasing and loyalty decisions based on “why” a company is in business, as opposed to “what” their business is.
We at Moderne Press instantly felt a connection to this philosophy because it is the way WE do business, as well. We are passionate about PR and the brands we represent. We also feel lucky to have the opportunity to work with brands that feel this same passion for what they do. We hope you are as inspired by this video as we were…enjoy. (Please note: it’s a bit long, about 20 minutes, but totally worth your time.)
Prismera Design introduced the Fête Collection for Fall 2010 this week. For this collection, designer Laura Su utilizes a combination of eco-friendly stainless steel, vintage chains and vintage cords/silks.
“I was inspired by a few beautiful polaroids that I’ve seen lately that have abandoned flag banners in them; they’re usually set in an urban landscape and remind me of my own childhood neighborhood. The contrast between these whimsical decorations and the gritty environment struck me as completely poignant and lovely. I wanted to capture the essence of those faded photos in this group of work and using vintage materials seemed to fit the concept perfectly,” says Laura. “This is a series of necklaces that spell out words and phrases in charming French but can be customized as well.”
Check out the adorable video from the Fête Collection photoshoot below and shop the collection at prismeradesign.com.
We were thrilled to discover the trend-setting styles and unbeatable prices of the newly popular eye wear company, Warby Parker. Not only do the founders behind this new brand believe that stylish eye wear does not have to break the bank (each pair is only $95 with lenses!), they also give one pair of glasses to those in need for every pair sold! You can even upload your own photo to “virtually try on” all 27 styles.
I was so enamored with the site, I bought a pair of the Thompson‘s! (I’ve been needing to update my eye wear for some time now). I am so excited to have found this forward thinking, socially responsible company.
Fashion Week is over and as usual, Marchesa and J. Mendel’s collections are two favorites. Below are a couple of favorite looks from each show…breathtakingly beautiful!
