How I am just now discovering the amazing boutique with a vintage touch, Ruche, I will never know. But now that I have, I am in love. Pairing modern trends with lovely vintage aesthetics makes for the perfect combo and the prices cannot be beat. And I always love when you can shop by outfit. This California girl is ready to buy the entire Fall Collection. (Oh no, somebody stop me!)
Have you seen the ethereal earthy shoot that Gisele Bundchen did for the summer issue of Muse, an Italian fashion magazine? If not, take a peek with the stunning behind-the-scenes video, and if you happen to pick up the issue, check out Emily Elizabeth Jewelry’s bow studs in a few of the shots!
J.Crew can do no wrong. If you haven’t already seen the 2010 Collection video, take a look and listen now. The clothes, the model, the song – perfection! And a very nice way to start the day!
Have you heard of Flairful.com? Similar in concept to TasteSpotting, the site compiles the best posts from a handful of well-edited design & style blogs…daily inspiration & eye candy all in one place!
We love working with bloggers virtually, but it’s even better when we finally get to meet them in person! This week, I had the pleasure of meeting Anne from The City Sage, a decor & style blog of which I have been a longtime reader. Her impeccable taste is reflected daily on her blog & shortly, the soon-to-be-launched Rue Magazine of which she’s the managing editor. (When do you sleep, Anne?) Go check out her blog here & look for the premiere issue of Rue this September!
Reading through my Sunday paper this 4th of July, I was thrilled to discover the most nostalgic line of vintage-inspired swimwear – Fables by Barrie – made right here in San Diego. If you’re looking to channel your inner pin-up, Barrie’s got you covered!
I seem to be gravitating toward polka dots (instead of the usual stripes) for the summer season. This sweet dress from Urban Outfitters would make a nice addition to my closet!
Discovered via Vané of Brooklyn Bride, Samuelle makes some beautiful bridal gowns with couture-like elements. Even if you’re not getting married, they make you wish you were walking down the aisle!
Tattoos are everywhere these days. In fact, I have several friends and family members who have spent a great deal of time and money on their body art. And, although I love to admire their permanent self expression, I am not quite as brave.
When I saw the Temporary Skin Art by Chanel in the recent issue of Lucky Magazine, I thought to myself, ah here’s a gorgeous and short-lived way to “dress up your skin.”
